Privacy Policy

The short version
We collect the minimum we need to ship your chair and support it. We never sell your data. We use Stripe for payments and Resend for transactional email — both standard, both audited. If you want your data deleted, email team@movochair.com and we'll remove it within 30 days.
What we collect

| Chair telemetry (post-purchase) | If you opt in: anonymous usage data (battery cycles, error codes) to improve the product. Opt-out at any time — we honor it on the next firmware update. |
What we don't do
- We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone, ever.
- We do not use third-party advertising trackers (no Facebook Pixel, no Google Ads pixel).
- We do not share your medical or accessibility details with insurers or employers.
- We do not use your data to train any AI model.
Who we share data with
- Stripe — payment processing
- Resend — sending you order confirmations and support email
- Shipping carriers (FedEx, UPS, or regional equivalents) — to deliver your chair
- Vercel — hosts this website
- Law enforcement, only when compelled by valid legal process and only the specific data demanded
Each of these companies has their own privacy policy and security posture.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you have the right to:
- See what data we have about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your data (we keep order records 7 years for tax purposes, but everything else we delete)
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt out of any optional data collection (chair telemetry, marketing email — we don't currently send marketing, but if we ever do, it'll be opt-in)

GDPR / CCPA
If you're in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional statutory rights. Our practice is to honor them globally — see "Your rights" above. Our data protection contact: team@movochair.com.
Notice to the site owner
Before going live: have counsel review this for accuracy against your actual practices. If you add Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, or any other tracker later, you MUST update this policy and add a consent banner for EU/UK visitors. The "we don't sell data" claim is legally binding under CCPA — make sure operations match.
